KA1 Programmes
& Courses

We work diligently to match students with companies that align closely with their academic background and career aspirations. Through close collaboration with industry partners, we ensure that placements provide meaningful work experiences that not only build on the students' existing knowledge but also equip them with the skills and insights needed to advance in their chosen careers.

Nurse

Nursing

Nurses work in homes for the elderly and infirm and are accompanied by one of the employees in the homes. In some cases in later parts of the mobility programme they may be given the opportunity to work and contribute on their own, but this is on a case by case basis and not part of the core programme.

Physiotherapists

Physiotherapists are often placed alongside nursing students. We endeavour to give students to opportunity to practice therapeutic massage or physiotherapy exercises, as well as helping design recovery schedules for patients to follow at home, but the full two week programme will usually incorporate other duties and offer a more holistic approach to care.

Students of this profession work in various shops, from shops that sell tools, shops that sell IT technology, shops for women's fashion, etc. For these, it is very important to be interested in work as well as a positive attitude towards work and towards the staff with whom they will work.

The recommended number of students of this profession should not exceed 6-8 in one group

IT Services

These occupations work on repairing computers, laptops, mobile phones and video game consoles. In principle, they work in smaller stores that also sell computers and laptops, so they can be included in this part of the service as well.

The recommended number of students in this profession can be up to 7

Catering & Hotel Maintenance

These professions mostly work in restaurants (rarely in hotels) where they are directly involved in the daily tasks of food preparation. In the beginning, the students will probably work on the preparation of the ingredients for salads and cold appetizers, and after a few days of showing interest and knowledge, they can be involved in the preparation and serving of cooked dishes, right up to making the menu for the next day.

Hotel technicians primarily focus on maintaining the hotel, including rooms, the main hall, and ancillary spaces. Students with food service experience may assist with breakfast service or work in the hotel restaurant. Additionally, they can learn about other hotel roles, such as reception, back office, and concierge duties, by conversing with department managers. Students should take the initiative to learn as much as possible about the hotel business.

For these professions, the recommended number of students should not exceed 8-9 in one group.
